Three seriously injured in head-on crash in Henrietta

HENRIETTA, N.Y. — Three people were seriously injured in a head-on crash between a Hummer and a truck at around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday evening on East River Road in Henrietta. One of them may have life-threatening injuries, according to the Henrietta Fire District.

Multiple agencies were on the scene assisting with rescue and cleanup at the crash, in which one of the drivers was “heavily entrapped,” according to the Henrietta Fire District. Firefighters used two sets of hydraulic rescue tools and rigging to separate the entangled vehicles and rescue the people. The extrication took nearly 40 minutes due to the extensive damage, according to the Fire District.
