A former Ogden police officer and Orleans County sheriff’s deputy has once again taken a plea deal in court.
According to court records, Steven Ploof, 48, of Greece, had left posters with threatening messages on the porch of an FBI special agent at their Ogden home last fall. Ploof then tried to drive his vehicle at officers and approached them with a machete. After being detained and hospitalized, Ploof escaped from the hospital, prompting a lockdown.
