ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester Police have made an arrest in a shooting that wounded a 40-year-old man earlier this month.
Juan Velazquez, 47, is accused of shooting the man in the stairwell of an apartment complex on North Clinton Avenue, between Norton Street and Ridge Road, in the early morning of Feb. 1. The victim was taken to the hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators eventually identified Velazquez as a suspect, and the RPD SWAT Team went into an apartment on a warrant to arrest him. Officers say they found a loaded revolver and suspected cocaine and fentanyl during the search…
