Convicted Palmyra teen killer set for parole this month

Thirty-six years after a double murder shocked Palmyra, the convicted killer will walk free on parole, according to the Times of Wayne County.

Authorities arrested Chad Campbell at 15 for stabbing Cynthia Lewis and the 15-month-old she was babysitting in 1990. A jury convicted him, and a judge sentenced him to life. Former investigators said he planned the attack and showed no remorse. After years of denied requests, the New York State Parole Board approved his release.

Campbell will leave prison March 12 and stay at a motel in the Town of Ontario under strict supervision, including an ankle monitor and no contact with the victims’ families.
