Drug dealer sentenced for deadly fentanyl overdose in Brockport

Rochester, N.Y. — A man is going to prison for selling fentanyl that led to someone’s deadly overdose.

In April 2022, a person was found dead from a fentanyl overdose at a home on Gordon Street in Brockport, according to the United States Attorney’s Office for the Western District of New York.

Herschel Dawson, 35, of Rochester was arrested after being identified as the drug dealer responsible for selling the fentanyl to the victim following an investigation that included an undercover purchase, prosecutors said.
