First Alert Weather: Yellow Alert on Saturday for thunderstorms and strong winds

UPDATE: There’s a Yellow Alert for Saturday due to thunderstorms and strong winds. It’s looking like the storms will be between 1 and 5 p.m. These will not be especially severe, but may have 50-mile-per-hour gusts and small hail. ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Overnight freezing rain left over a tenth of an inch of ice coating cars, trees, mailboxes, as well as any untreated surface… So watch your step this morning as parking lots, driveways, stairs, and sidewalks are likely to be slippery. Treated roads will be fine, but overpasses and bridges may still be a little icy. We’re also dealing with patchy fog that is reducing visibility in spots. The ice will melt and the fog will lift as temperatures rise through the morning.
