Former Ogden PD officer sentenced to jail for reckless endangerment

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A former Ogden police officer and Orleans County sheriff’s deputy has been sentenced after pleading guilty to reckless endangerment.

Steven Ploof will spend one year in the Monroe County Jail. Last September, Ploof attempted to attack officers in Greece, leading to a lockdown at Rochester General Hospital after he escaped.

Ploof also accepted a plea deal in a federal case, where he is accused of leaving a sign at an FBI agent’s home threatening to harm their family…
