ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A garage fire broke out around 6:10 p.m. on Cherry Road off Lake Avenue near Turning Point Park Tuesday evening.
Rochester firefighters quickly responded and were able to extinguish the flames.
The garage was destroyed in the blaze, but did not extend into the home, the Rochester Fire Department said. Nearby homes had minor siding damage caused by radiant heat, and the fire did extend to a nearby RV and passenger vehicle, RFD said…
