Rochester smoke shop faces scrutiny after cannabis seizure, remains open

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A Rochester smoke shop is facing scrutiny from the New York State Office of Cannabis Management. A sign in the window of the Regime Smoke Shop on Winton Road read “Illicit Cannabis Seized,” but the store remained open.

News10NBC’s Tom Kowalski reported live from the scene around 7:30 p.m., noting that despite the notice, the shop continued to operate. According to paperwork, the issue began in early December when a cannabis officer claimed the store was providing, cultivating, or processing marijuana without a license. Officers reportedly found cannabis concentrate and edibles.
