Canandaigua police unveil first fully electric patrol vehicles

CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. (WROC) — The Canandaigua Police Department says it is preparing to test the feasibility and durability of fully electric patrol vehicles.

On Friday, the department announced the unveiling of two new electric vehicles: a Ford Mustang Mach-E assigned to the Traffic Enforcement Unit and a Ford F-150 Lightning assigned to the Evidence and Crime Scene Technicians Unit.
