ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Wild weather Monday on the way with strong winds at times later this morning into tonight. Gusts 50-55mph are possible with some scattered tree damage and power outages. Sun and clouds to start the day with temps soaring into the 60s to near 70 degrees midday. Cold front will arrive early to mid afternoon with a line of developing showers and thunderstorms. Heavier weather threat will increase east of Rochester as storms look to grow after 1-2PM and turn locally strong to severe for parts of Wayne, Ontario and Yates County. These storms will rapidly develop, and even though will likely just miss the Rochester metro, we need to watch closely in case they build up sooner. The severe threat will include strong damaging wind gusts and an isolated weak tornado is also possible east and south of Monroe County. These storms will quickly pass to the east by 4-5PM.
