Bail set at $3M for suspect in NYSP chase, captured by U.S. Marshals on Maple Street

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The parolee who led state police on a chase last month, has been captured by the U.S. Marshals. The chase ended when David Robinson crashed into an RTS bus, causing it to hit a woman on the sidewalk. Robinson was released by a city court judge before parole could issue a detainer.

Robinson was found last night at a home on Maple Street in Rochester. U.S. Marshal Charles Salina shared what happened. “It took several minutes for the task force to ultimately find him on the second-floor attic in a small, confined closet,” said Salina.

“He was literally hiding underneath some clothes. He had a storage bin over him, and it was a very tight space. The task force officers took him into custody, and as they took him out, he also did have a wig on his head attempting to evade us.”…
