Le Roy Senior Elise Fisher has been chosen as the 2026 Rochester Region Princeton Prize Winner after competing against six other students from the Rochester/Finger Lakes area.
Fisher says she was blown away to have been chosen. Fisher’s parents, Gwendolyn and Anthony, along with Le Roy’s Ms. Essig, Superintendent Holly, Mrs. Nole, Mrs. Hauck, Ms. Bradley, Mrs. Mantell, Mrs. Bertrand, and Fisher’s friend Lilly Figlerowicz were all on hand for the presentation and celebration.
The Princeton Prize in Race Relations for the Greater Rochester region recognizes high school students who demonstrate leadership in advancing racial equity and promoting understanding.
Fisher presented a four-minute video about her ideas and experiences at Le Roy Jr/Sr High School, showcasing the Appetite for Culture, Rock2Change, and Holidays Around the World through photos she took over the years to share what MOSAIC (Making Our School An Informed Community) Club is all about.
