BINGHAMTON — Fans in attendance Saturday evening for the Class AA boys’ basketball state championship game between Amsterdam and Penfield were treated to a truly captivating 32 minutes of action.
On a night where neither team could gain much separation, Section 5’s Penfield — the state’s top-ranked squad — closed the game on an 8-0 run to secure a 62-54 title triumph over the Rams at Visions Veterans Memorial Arena.
