ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A Rochester woman was sentenced Thursday to six years in prison after pleading guilty in connection with the death of her 3-year-old son, following the overturning of her original conviction.
Andrea Lipton will also serve two years of post-release supervision under New York’s Domestic Violence Survivors Justice Act, which allows reduced sentences if abuse is shown to have contributed to a defendant’s actions.
Lipton had previously been convicted in the case, but that conviction was later vacated. She was awaiting a second trial before entering a guilty plea this year as part of an agreement with prosecutors…
