Rochester man sentenced after drug trafficking investigation

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A Rochester man was sentenced following a large-scale drug trafficking investigation in Monroe and Ontario Counties.

65-year-old Julio Perez, who was convicted of possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, was sentenced to 12 years in prison.

In June 2024, as part of an investigation led by Homeland Security Investigations and the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, authorities searched Perez’s home and found around an ounce of fentanyl and nearly $10,000 in cash.
