Rochester, N.Y. (WROC) — Lorena Diaz-Candelaria was behind the service desk at Walmart in Penfield in 2024 when a customer, Ruben Vladimir Santos Diaz, approached.
A year later, Diaz-Candelaria married him.
“He’s wonderful, not just because he’s my husband but because he’s very friendly, he’s very family oriented, respectful,” Diaz-Candelaria, who was born in Puerto Rico and now lives in Rochester, she said. “He likes to help the community, anybody in need he’s there for them with money or without, he’s that type of person.”Once married, they moved to make Santos Diaz a citizen…
