AMR EMTs attacked, patient arrested by RPD

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Two EMTs were injured after they were attacked by a patient during a medical response on Saturday, according to the Rochester Police Department.

Officers responded to Ormond Street to assist AMR when they discovered that two EMTS, identified as a 36-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man, had been injured. It was reported to police that the 30-year-old man EMTs were treating in the ambulance, attacked them “unprovoked”.

The patient was found inside the ambulance when police arrived. RPD confirms force was used by officers to place the man under arrest and take him into custody…
