Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) — Shannon Sander is a veteran who works at the local chapter of Disabled American Veterans. She understands firsthand the challenges veterans are facing and the need for support.
“Not only did DAV help me earn my benefits and fought for me when I needed that, but they’ve given me a sense of purpose and allow me to volunteer my time back to my fellow veterans, and help them earn their benefits,” explained Sander, the adjutant of DAV’s Monroe Powers #15.
