Honeoye Falls waterfall raging due to Tuesday storms, but mayor says no flood risk yet

HONEOYE FALLS, N.Y. — In Honeoye Falls, Tuesday’s weather has the waterfall on Honeoye Creek raging.

Rick Milne, the mayor of Honeoye Falls, said there isn’t much concern about flooding unless the water starts to reach the village office, a brick building next to the falls.

The falls were crashing down rapidly, creating a cloud of mist. Some people came by to admire the falls, but debris was coming over the waterfall.

There were some bigger logs stuck, but Milne said those typically take care of themselves. Seeing the falls like this is nothing unusual for the mayor…
