RPD: Parolee seriously hurt after being accused of causing multi-car crash on Norton Street

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A 28-year-old man on parole for weapon charges may face new charges after Rochester Police say he caused a crash on Norton Street Tuesday.

It happened at around 1 p.m. Tuesday. Police say the parolee, driving a Volkswagen Jetta, was driving at a high rate of speed when he hit three other cars.

Four drivers were brought to local hospitals for treatment. Police say the driver of the Jetta suffered life-threatening injuries and has been stabilized by the medical team at Strong Memorial Hospital. The other drivers had non-life threatening injuries, police say…
