ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A prominent Rochester restaurateur is turning his restaurant success into support for local children.
Josh Miles, who with his wife Jenna owns several city hotspots including Bitter Honey, Velvet Belly, Branca Midtown, Anthology and the new steakhouse Patron Saint, is launching a new nonprofit called the Shoot Big Project. Its first major fundraiser is a daylong golf outing and gala at Oak Hill Country Club on June 15, benefiting Golisano Children’s Hospital.
Miles says the effort is rooted in a personal family story involving a sibling who died as an infant with Down syndrome and heart complications. The Shoot Big Project will focus on children’s health, wellness, special needs and entrepreneurship, with plans to support different charities over time…
