ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — This year’s Department of Veterans` Services (DVS) Month of the Military Child Event at the Strong National Museum of Play began at 10 a.m. on Sunday.
The event honors New York’s Military Children by allowing them to experience the museum’s many exhibits, including Adventureland, Sesame Street, and the Toy Hall of Fame, all for free. This event is part of DVS’s series throughout April that celebrates military children and veteran families across the state.
Each child will get a commemorative T-shirt and an official proclamation signed by Governor Kathy Hochul recognizing them. Lunch was provided too…
