The National Weather Service released a severe thunderstorm warning at 6:51 p.m. on Thursday in effect until 7:45 p.m. for Cayuga, Oswego and Wayne counties.
The storms are anticipated to bring wind gusts of up to 60 mph and penny-sized hail (0.75 inches).
“At 6:51 p.m., a severe thunderstorm was located near Clyde, or 14 miles north of Seneca Falls, moving northeast at 45 mph,” describes the weather service. “Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.”…
