$1.3M in cannabis seized, two Rochester smoke shops shut down

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Two Rochester smoke shops have been shut down and padlocked following a state investigation into illegal cannabis sales, with more than $1.3 million worth of products seized.

The New York State Office of Cannabis Management said its enforcement team partnered with the Rochester Police Department to carry out search warrants and inspections on April 16.

The action targeted Unique Smoke Shop on Lyell Avenue and Mr. Starlight Smoke Shop on Chestnut Ridge Road, along with a storage facility connected to both businesses…
