ROCKFORD — Famous Dave’s rededicated its Rockford restaurant on Wednesday in a celebration of 22 years in business attended by Famous Dave himself.
New general manager Kyle Fourtounis was joined by founder Dave Anderson for a ribbon-cutting and rededication ceremony with the Greater Rockford Chamber of Commerce. The restaurant, 3303 N. Perryville Road, also had complimentary food samples, a grill giveaway, and family-friendly activities such as an inflatable bouncy house and other games in front of the restaurant.
“This is never about Dave, this is really about the people who make it happen … We would not be here if it wasn’t for the hard work of the people in our restaurants,” Anderson said. “We wanted the city of Rockford to know they can get the best barbecue in town here. We are a community barbecue joint.”…
