LOVES PARK, Ill. (WIFR) – The Rhythm of the Heart Music Festival returned to the ‘City with a Heart’ for its fourth year Saturday.
Four bands performed throughout the day:
- That 70’s Band – They are based out of Rockford and say they are the region’s primary 70’s band.
- Whiskey Friends “A Morgan Wallen Experience” – A nationwide band paying tribute to many of Morgan Wallen’s songs.
- Eliminator (ZZ Top Tribute Band) – A Chicago-based ensemble recreating ZZ Top’s sound and style.
- BIG SUIT (A Tribute to Talking Heads) – A group of nine musicians drawn to the cerebral adventures, infectious rhythms, and pioneering music.
Loves Park Mayor Greg Jury says about 3,500 attended before the final group performed. He credits the festival’s sponsors for always making this event free for the community to attend.
