Someone Was Just Caught Going 121 MPH In Northern Illinois

There are plenty of streets and roads in the Rockford area where people speed and sometimes get caught.

I didn’t think I’d see someone breaking the law on a road that, at times, can be as dangerous as any other in the area.

121 in a 55: Extreme Speeding Incident Shocks Ogle County

Route 2 is a rather well-traveled road connecting towns like Rockford, Byron, Oregon, and Dixon. Drivers will, from time to time, speed on Route 2, but I have never heard someone doing this: 121 in a 55.

You read that right: 121 mph in a 55 mph zone. The Ogle County Sheriff’s Office says deputies pulled over Laura Wheeler, 40, from Dixon just before 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 25.
