ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – Following a report of someone armed in a group of teens, officers reportedly found a handgun and arrested a 16-year-old from Rockford.
The teen is charged with
- unlawful use of a weapon
- possession of a firearm with no valid FOID
- aggravated unlawful use of a weapon
- unlawful possession of a firearm
- possession of a firearm with no serial number
- possession of ammunition device
Around 7 p.m., July 29, police responded to the 3000 block of N. Rockton Avenue for a report of a teen with a gun.
