ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Anthony Beardsley, 21, has been jailed in Rockford on suspicion of dealing drugs after police found cannabis, cocaine, and guns in his car during a traffic stop.
Around 8:32 p.m. on Saturday, a police officer on patrol pulled Beardsley’s Jeep Patriot over in the 500 block of E. Jefferson Street after noticing the vehicle lacked a front license plate, in violation of Illinois state law.
According to court records, Beardsley told police there was a firearm in the car, but he had a Firearm Owner’s Identification card. Police removed Beardsley and the firearm from the car, and verified the gun did not have a bullet in the chamber or a magazine loaded…
