Women interested in community engagement and the legacy of social reformer Jane Addams will have an opportunity to gather for a free luncheon and discussion at the Cedarville Area Historical Society on Sept. 19.
The event is being organized by the Jane Club at The Foundation for Northwest Illinois, according to a community announcement. Organizers say the group draws inspiration from the original Jane Club, a working women’s cooperative that operated near Hull House in Chicago and emphasized mutual support among its members.
