ROCKFORD — The Bucciferro family marked 18 years in the McDonald’s business on Tuesday by cutting the ribbon on the first of two new restaurants set to open in the city this year.
The family-owned business, which operates 45 McDonald’s franchises in Wisconsin and Illinois, celebrated the opening at 3844 W. Riverside Blvd. with the Greater Rockford Chamber of Commerce, Mayor Janessa Neal, state Rep. Maurice West, state Sen. Steve Stadelman and aldermen Tamir Bell, Dawn Granath and Jaime Salgado.
The next McDonald’s to open will be at 4103 W. State St., which is at the corner of Springfield Avenue and State Street. It’s expected to open in November. Next up after that is a new location at Perryville and Rote roads. Construction is expected to begin there in the spring…
