MACHESNEY PARK, Ill. (WTVO) — 56-year-old Tommy Staff was arrested in Machesney Park after police discovered cocaine in his pockets, car, and anus after a traffic stop early Saturday morning.
Officers with the Machensey Park Police Department stopped a speeding car in the area of Copper Drive and N. 2nd Street just after midnight on Saturday morning and said the driver, Tommy Staff, 56, of Rockford, was “visibly shaking and sweating” when the officer approached the car.
During a pat-down of the suspect, police said a plastic baggie was found in his pocket that contained 3 grams of cocaine. According to the arrest record, Staff had cocaine between the knuckles on his left hand as well. A subsequent search of the car turned up several crack pipes and a scale that was covered in cocaine, authorities said. Staff told police he used it “for when he gets his cocaine to make sure it’s right.”…
