ROCKFORD — City Council has approved a funding request to support the creation of a new senior center on South Alpine Road.
Aldermen voted 12-2 Tuesday to provide the nonprofit Living Well Center of Northern Illinois with $100,000 for three years to help fund its operations. Aldermen Kevin Frost and Gabrielle Torina voted against the measure. The vote went forward without debate…
