Development group pushes ahead with plans to help church revive former Rockford Memorial Hospital

ROCKFORD — A publicly traded real estate development and asset management company is forging a partnership with church leaders to revive a west side hospital property that the church took ownership of about a year ago.

Global Asset Management Group and Pastors Melvin and Sheila Brown of Kingdom Authority International Ministries say they’re in the early stages of a partnership to redevelop the former Javon Bea Hospital-Rockton, 2400 N. Rockton Ave., on the city’s west side. They’ve been in talks for roughly two months, and the development company is moving forward with plans to show the property to potential tenants…
