Deputies say Rockford driver’s illegal window tint led to drug arrest

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — A traffic stop on a Jeep with heavily tinted windows led to the arrest of a Rockford man suspected of selling crack cocaine, fentanyl, and cannabis.

On the night of Monday, September 15, Winnebago County Sheriff’s Deputies were on patrol in the area of Charles and 12th Streets when they observed a Jeep Cherokee with heavily tinted windows, as Illinois law restricts heavy tint on front side windows.

When they ran the license plate, the vehicle came back registered to an individual with a revoked driver’s license…
