Northern Illinois Community Action Agency has named Sarah Fowler director of its Head Start program, bringing a longtime educator and administrator into the leadership role.
The appointment was announced by the agency, according to a community announcement. Fowler has more than 25 years of experience and has spent 17 years with NICAA Head Start in several positions, including education manager, education coach and behavior specialist, according to the announcement.
Fowler earned a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from Southern Illinois University. The announcement noted that her connection to Head Start extends beyond her professional experience because she is also a former Head Start parent.
