A local Illinois coffee company predicated on selling delicious, premium coffee in support of sick and injured firefighters turned their attention to support Iowa firefighters for the month of September.
Last week, my girlfriend, Catherine, who graduated fire school, told me about Fire Dept. Coffee in Rockford, IL, and how proceeds from their coffee and merch sales in the month of September helps support the Iowa Firefighters Association. She was getting shirts and coffee for herself and asked if I wanted any. I couldn’t say no to this cause.
How Fire Dept. Coffee is Supporting Iowa Firefighters This Month:
Throughout the month of September, the Rockford-based company is donating $2 to the Iowa Firefighters Association for every bag of coffee purchased. The money will be put to advancing firefighter training, fire prevention, and programs that strengthen Iowa’s fire service all while helping them protect the communities they serve.
If coffee isn’t your game, but you still want to show your support, you can purchase the exclusive “Divided Yet United” CyHawk-themed shirt on the Fire Dept. Coffee’s website. It’s a sharp shirt with a fun design featuring an anthropomorphized yellow and red bird. Proceeds from purchases of that shirt go directly to the Iowa Firefighters Association too.
Catherine got a solid bundle of their shirts, and unpacking everything last night, I could see why. Fire Dept. Coffee’s designs are sharp and unique. Their logo is attention-getting without being bombastic. Their shirts are high-quality. I cannot wait to rock mine and try their coffee this week.
