ROCKFORD — A historic manufacturer that was revived after bankruptcy was honored Thursday night with one of the inaugural Illinois Impact awards by the Illinois Economic Development Corporation.
Rockford Brake Manufacturing, 302 Peoples Ave., was one of four companies to receive the Governor’s Award for Local Impact, which recognizes businesses whose investment, growth and long-term presence strengthens the community and regional economy.
