A couple of years ago, KFC in Rockford disappeared. It wasn’t a gradual “hey, we’re going out of business” thing either. It was poof, gone overnight.
I mean that literally too: one day Rockford had KFC restaurants, and the next, they were closed, leaving behind buildings that are still empty years later.
