ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Police are investigating a death at an apartment complex on Wednesday night.
Deputies with the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office were called to the Collier Garden Apartments, at 2901 Searles Avenue, near Conklin School, around 8:30 p.m.
Residents said they heard gunshots, and at least two ambulances arrived at the scene.
Police have said there is no further threat to the public.
