ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Police uncovered a weapons cache consisting of an assault-style rifle, a pistol grip shotgun, numerous handguns, and several high-capacity magazines during an arrest of a Rockford man on Friday morning.
On Friday at 9 a.m. Rockford Police Gang Crime Unit, Narcotics Unit, Intel Unit and Loves Park Police officers went to the 5000 block of Trafford Drive in Loves Park to serve an arrest warrant for Damarrion Woods,18.
During the search of the home investigators discovered the weapons.
Woods was arrested for two counts of unlawful use of a weapon and an outstanding City of Rockford warrant.
Police say more charges are possible. Woods was booked into the Winnebago County Jail.
