ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO/WQRF) — Several of our local competitive cheer teams took to the mat on Saturday in their respective sectional meets in hopes of advancing to the state competition. The top five teams from a small, medium, large, and coed division would advance.
Belvidere North and North Boone were our two local teams that punched their ticket to Bloomington next weekend.
North Boone finished in fourth in the small school division at the Dundee-Crown Sectional.
The Blue Thunder scored a season-high 95.23 for a second-place finish in the coed division of the Knoxville sectional.
