ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – More than $2 million will go towards seven park and recreation projects in four northern Illinois, the state announced Tuesday. The grants are being awarded through the Open Space Land Acquisition and Development or OSLAD program. Statewide, nearly $55 million in state grants are being given to 111 local park projects, including $18.7 million for 32 underserved locations.
