Rockford woman injured in Ogle County crash

OGLE COUNTY, Ill. (WTVO) — A Rockford woman was hospitalized after a 75-year-old Wisconsin man blew through a stop sign and crashed into her, police said.

According to the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office, Priscilla Rodriguez, 38, was driving a Chevrolet Tahoe south on Illinois Route 251 around 8:47 p.m. on Tuesday night when Daniel Miller, 75, of Abbotsford, Wisconsin, disregarded a stop sign at Illinois Route 64 and slammed into her vehicle with his Ram 1500 pickup.

Rodriguez was taken to a local hospital for injuries considered to be non-life threatening, police said.

Miller was cited for Failure to Obey a Stop Sign and was released from the scene by medical personnel.
