ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – Rockford Mass Transit District is doing something special this Black History Month. Nine commemorative signs will be displayed on the bus fleet throughout the entire month of February, emphasizing the district’s commitment to honoring Black History Month. The organization partnered with Rockford’s NAACP chapter to highlight local and national figures who have played a significant part in African American history.
