Machesney Park man injured in fatal Woodstock crash

WOODSTOCK, Ill. (WTVO) — A 46-year-old man from Machesney Park was injured in a head-on crash with an 88-year-old driver who was killed in the collision, according to police.

The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office said at 7:40 a.m. on Thursday, February 1st, a 2000 Lincoln Town Car driven by the elderly Kenosha man was traveling west on Charles Road when it lost control and entered the eastbound lane, colliding with the front of a 2014 Hyundai driven by the Machesney Park man.

The Lincoln driver was transported to Northwestern Hospital McHenry where he later died.

The Hyundai driver was treated at the scene and released, police said.
