Just before 7:30 Thursday February 1, Ogle County Deputies were dispatched to Castle Rock State Park 3100 S IL RTE 2 for a report of a car in the river. Through the course of the investigation, it was determined that a Saturn Ion was traveling southbound on S IL RTE 2, when the driver, 66-year-old Douglas G Hollister of Rockford lost control of the vehicle on the frost covered pavement.
