ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — One was shot in Rockford on Saturday morning after a gunman reportedly opened fire on three people sitting in a car.
According to Rockford Police, officers were called to the 1400 block of N. Main Street, near the roundabout, around 2 a.m. for a “shots fired” call.
Police said the three people were inside a car in the parking lot of a business when the shots rang out.
Bullets hit the vehicle and another person who was exiting the unnamed business, police said. The victim suffered what police called a “non-life threatening injury.”
The suspect was described by police as a Hispanic male wearing a black hoodie and a blue hat.
