ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Walgreens says it will be closing its location in downtown Rockford.
According to a letter sent to customers on Monday and confirmed by an automated phone message, the company said “After careful consideration, we have decided to close your neighborhood Walgreens at 1201 E. State Street in Rockford on Monday, February 19th, 2024.”
Walgreens did not give a reason for the closure.
The store said all pharmacy prescription records are available at all Walgreens locations. The nearest location to the closing store is at 2323 Charles Street.
